Essential Guide : Property Inspection Report for Immigration Applications

According to the current Immigration Rules, it is essential to provide a property inspection report from an independent and qualified professional with an initial application which confirms the anticipated accommodation.

  1. Is not overcrowded under Part X of the Housing Act 1985 and has enough space to accommodate both the current occupants and any additional individuals intending to reside there, and;
  2. Has undergone an inspection and risked assessment for Category 1 & 2 Hazards, ensuring accommodation compliance with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) under Part 1 of the Housing Act 2004. This ensures that the accommodation does not violate public health regulations.

Failing to include the property inspection report with the application poses a substantial risk of refusal by the Entry Clearance Officer for both settlement applications and entry clearances under HC 395 of the Immigration Rules. It is crucial to demonstrate that the accommodation requirement has been met to avoid any potential complications in the application process.
